Bridget Hetherington, a Physiotherapist at GV Health, growing her experience via rotating across a range of wards.

Bridget Hetherington

Bridget Hetherington began her career as a Physiotherapist at GV Health in January, stepping into a Grade 1 rotational position after graduating from university. “It’s been the best decision,” she says. “The support from the team and the opportunities here have been incredible.”

Rotating across surgical, outpatient, and rehabilitation wards every four months, Bridget has gained diverse experience with the backing of a supportive team. “There’s always someone to help, whether it’s a senior supervisor, a colleague, or someone from the broader allied health team,” she explains.

Through GV Health’s Allied Health Graduate Program, Bridget has also developed key skills for transitioning into the workforce. “It’s been great for learning and growing, and next year, we’ll progress to a more advanced program,” she adds.

Outside of work, Bridget enjoys Shepparton’s welcoming community and convenient lifestyle. “There’s so much to do, and the physio team makes sure everyone feels included,” she says.

For new graduates, Bridget highly recommends GV Health. “The opportunities to learn and grow are endless, and the team is fantastic. It’s a great place to start your career.”
