Lauren Theodore
Meet Lauren Theodore, a passionate dietitian who joined GV Health after completing her clinical placement there.
Lauren was drawn to the supportive team culture and the opportunities for growth in regional healthcare. “I felt at home in the team from the start,” Lauren said.
Lauren’s work spans across the rehabilitation ward, paediatrics, and community outpatient clinics. One of her most memorable experiences involved helping a patient recovering from throat cancer. After months of weight loss and malnutrition, Lauren provided tailored dietary education and support. Within just a month, the patient had regained a healthier weight and a more positive outlook. “I could see the change in his face and attitude—it was incredible to witness how nutrition helped him thrive,” Lauren said.
She also cherishes her work in paediatrics, especially in the feeding clinic, where she supports children transitioning off feeding tubes. Lauren encourages budding dietitians to explore regional healthcare for its variety and growth opportunities.
“GV Health has helped me discover where I want to take my career, especially in paediatrics,” she said.
