Hear from some of our doctors

Dr Kadison Michel
ICU Trainee & Medical Registrar

Originally from Shepparton, Dr Kadison Michel has been with GV Health across multiple roles for over five years.

A University of Melbourne graduate, he completed most of his medical school training in the Goulburn Valley region, before returning as a junior doctor.

Kadison has progressed through GV Health’s ranks with rotations in emergency, anaesthetics, intensive care, renal medicine and oncology.

He’s currently training with the College of Intensive Care Medicine and working towards his Part 1 exam in August.

“GV Health offers great clinical variety, earlier responsibility and strong support,” Kadison says.

“It’s the kind of place where you can grow quickly while giving back to a regional community.”

Outside of work, Kadison tutors first-year medical students through the University of Melbourne and is passionate about medical education and mentoring.

Dr Holly Hayes
Medical Intern

Originally from Melbourne, Holly studied medicine at Griffith University and completed clinical placements across Queensland and the UK before moving to Shepparton to begin her intern year.

“From day one, GV Health felt like the right fit,” she says.

“The team has been incredibly supportive, and the emergency department gave me confidence and autonomy as a junior doctor.”

Holly is passionate about regional medicine and hopes to pursue a career in either rural general practice or paediatrics.

She’s already making Shepparton her home and values GV Health’s commitment to nurturing doctors who want to stay regional.

Dr Jack Brisbane
Medical Intern

A proud Shepparton local, Jack grew up on a dairy farm and attended Wanganui Park Secondary College.

After completing his medical studies at Deakin University in Geelong, Jack returned home to begin his medical career at GV Health.

“Coming back to train in the community I grew up in has been incredibly rewarding,” Jack says.

“GV Health offers a supportive, hands-on learning environment where you can make a real impact.”

Currently working in general medicine, Jack enjoys the diversity of patient care and is using his intern year to explore interests in both physician training and anaesthetics.
