From today (12 August 2024), Euroa Hospital is officially a campus of Goulburn Valley Health (GV Health), offering acute care services to the local community as part of the Victorian public health system.
This outcome secures local hospital services in Euroa for the long term, following the successful transfer of Euroa Hospital from former private operator Euroa Health Incorporated to GV Health.
More than 20 former Euroa Health Incorporated nursing and support staff have transferred their employment to GV Health and will continue at the Euroa Hospital. Euroa Health Incorporated will continue to provide a range of support services to Euroa Hospital including cleaning, food services and grounds maintenance.
Euroa Hospital’s day-to-day activities will be overseen by Director of Nursing/Campus Manager, Stuart Riddett, who joined GV Health in May 2024.
Eura Hospital remains accessible via Weir Street, Euroa, and community members are encouraged to note the new phone number: (03) 5795 4000.
More information about Euroa Hospital and the services available at the campus can be found via the new Euroa Hospital Facebook page (www.facebook.com/EuroaHospital) and the GV Health website (www.gvhealth.org.au/our-services/euroa-hospital).
GV Health Chief Executive Matt Sharp said, “We are pleased to have been able to work with Euroa Health Incorporated to secure hospital services in the community for the long term. Most importantly, we are excited to welcome all of the staff joining our GV Health team at Euroa Hospital, who are already hard at work providing the best quality care for the people of Euroa and the surrounding regions.”
