Several early childhood services in Goulburn Valley have recently been recognised for their commitment to promoting children’s oral health through the Smiles 4 Miles program.
Smiles 4 Miles is an early childhood oral health program that runs Victoria-wide.
Its goal is to promote and embed good oral health habits from a young age.
The local implementation of the program was made possible by a collaboration between Goulburn Valley Health health promotion officers, Alicia Minotti and Ann John, and local early childhood educators.
The following childcare services/centres were recognised for their participation in the program: Balaclava Rd Childcare Centre, Gowrie Park Kindergarten, Katamatite Pre-school, Kialla Children’s Centre, Leslie Gribble Children’s Centre, Patricia Smith Kindergarten, and Undera Kindergarten.
