Ubaid joined the GV Health community in the spring of 2021. He completed his nephrology fellowship in Adelaide. Ubaid spent his first five years as nephrologist working in Singapore at the Singapore General Hospital. He developed a special interest in peritoneal dialysis in the treatment of end stage renal disease. Ubaid obtained a fellowship with the Academy Medicine of Singapore and took up a role as the director of the peritoneal dialysis program in a brand new public hospital in Northern Singapore, before returning to Australia.
As a senior clinician, Ubaid is responsible for day to day medical and renal patient’s management. Ubaid currently in the midst of initiating a regional peritoneal dialysis service in Goulburn Valley area. Besides his clinical role, he is also involved in medical student teaching and education for junior medical staff at GV Health.
Ubaid’s professional interests include effective delivery of medical and renal care service at the highest level, research involvement, leadership participation and community health promotion and empowerment.
