GV Health’s Dialysis Unit provides haemodialysis to patients with end-stage renal disease.
The unit can accommodate up to 15 patients per session with two sessions per day. Nephrologists also provide consultation via GV Health’s specialist consulting suite.
Holiday dialysis enquiries can be made to the Nurse Unit Manager. Acceptance for holiday bookings is dependent upon availability, so please book as early as possible. Confirmation cannot be guaranteed until a week or two prior to the proposed dates. To enquire or book, call (03) 5831 0084.
Who is GV Health’s Dialysis service available to?
GV Health’s dialysis services are available to inpatients, outpatients who have been referred from a clinical service within GV Health and people in the community who are referred to GV Health’s outpatient services.
How do I access GV Health’s Dialysis service?
Access to GV dialysis service is via referral only. Referral for permanent dialysis at GV Health’s dialysis unit should come via your existing dialysis unit/parent hospital or treating team. Holiday referrals may come from patients or dialysis unit staff. To arrange a referral with a nephrologist, please speak to your General Practitioner (GP) or treating team.
