Acute Care

GV Health cares for patients with a variety of medical conditions and have a close working relationship with the Shepparton campus. Our acute services are supported by a range of staff including GPs, registered and enrolled nursing staff, allied health and support staff.

Urgent Care Centre (UCC)

Euroa Hospital provides Urgent Care on-site. The Urgent Care Centre (UCC) operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and is located off Kennedy St next to Strathbogie Dental. On arrival, please ring the bell outside.

Our nursing staff will ask you some questions and assess your injury or illness to determine your medical needs.

Things to know when you visit our UCC:

  • Patients are assessed by a nurse and seen in order of how sick or injured they may be. This means that waiting times may vary depending on your medical needs.
  • The advice, support and care we give you will be based on your triage assessment. Not everyone who presents to UCC will see a doctor. For non-urgent conditions, you may be treated by a nurse or advised to see a doctor during office hours.
  • The UCC is supported by links with the Victorian Virtual Emergency Department (VVED) via telehealth link.
  • Although GV Health do not charge a fee for your UCC visit, patients may be charged a fee if seen by an on-call doctor as we do not have doctors on site. In this case, you will receive an account from the Euroa Family Medical Practice which may be eligible for a Medicare rebate.
  • The closest Emergency Department is located at Goulburn Valley Health in Shepparton.

Medical Imaging

The Euroa Hospital Medical Imaging department provides x-ray services.

The service is complemented by a larger imaging department at our Graham Street Campus in Shepparton, offering a full suite of medical imaging services.

Euroa Hospital’s x-ray service is available Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9am – 1pm.
To book an x-ray appointment, please phone (03) 5795 4000.
